LABAA is a Nantes-based company that aims to make daily life easier for people with autism spectrum disorders. Alexia Audrain, after a two-year apprenticeship in upholstery and a six-year apprenticeship in cabinetmaking, decided to launch the OTO project. She was later joined by her business partner Corentin Lemaitre to continue the project.

Our aim is to place the human being, the user, at the centre of the project. We believe that there is a close relationship between the social sciences and furniture design.

The OTO chair was created in 2019 following a collaborative study with the ADAPEI (44) team and ASD youngsters from the Blain IME. Since January 2021, LABAA has partnered with the Exact-t team at CHRU of Tours, to design and carry out a clinical study on the benefits of the OTO chair.
